Robber takes wallet, demands PIN number at gunpoint
A Shelbyville man was robbed early Monday on Landers Street, police said.The victim told police he was standing outside when a man identified as "Anthony" walked from across the street shouting obscenities, then hit him in the head.
"Anthony" took the victim's wallet while he was on the ground and, as he stood up, pointed a small black pistol and demanded his PIN number.
The victim told police he gave a false number to "Anthony," who drove away in a gold Jeep.
A driver who allegedly attempted to run away after running a police officer off the road was arrested a block away Friday.
Officer Rod Stacy said he was forced to drive into a front yard on Baker Street to avoid Felipe Miguel Domingo, 27, Central Avenue, who was driving "at a high rate of speed" in the wrong lane.
Domingo jumped from his car while it was still moving in a Baker Street driveway and ran, police said. Officer Josh Leverette arrested Domingo on Central Avenue.
Domingo was charged with DUI after an intoximeter result of 0.153, and with driving an uninsured vehicle without a license. He posted $5,750 bond.
Two men accused of attempting to enter an apartment on Anthony Lane, were arrested after a foot chase by officers and bystanders Friday.
Deandre Marcel Ward, 22, a resident of another building within the complex, and Pierre Alexi Johnson, 26, of Nashville were spotted by relatives of the victim who searched the area around the apartments, police said.
The suspects ran with the victim's family members and officers giving chase through wooded and industrial areas near the apartments.
Two of the victim's relatives caught Ward and held him for police. Officers chased and caught Johnson, whose clothing matched the description given to police of those worn by a man who ran from the victim's door when seen by a neighbor.
Ward and Johnson were each charged with attempted aggravated burglary and are being held on $25,000 bond.
A 50-inch HD television, a Playstation 2 and two video games were taken by someone who entered a Barksdale Lane home through an unlocked window during the day Friday, police said.

* Two $100 bills were stolen Sunday from an unlocked Railroad Avenue home.
