(AP Photo/Alex von Kleydorff, Pool) Photo: AP, Alex Von Kleydorff / (C)2011, The Hour Newspapers, all rights reservedTanya McDowell, who became a sympathetic national figure after being charged in April with stealing the education of her young son from the Norwalk school district, offered a Stamford undercover officer crack cocaine, marijuana and the use of prostitutes McDowell was pimping from her aunt's home in Bridgeport, according to warrants for her arrest.
Police sources said that McDowell took a break from her son's birthday party in late May to sell drugs to an undercover officer at the home on Dover Street in Bridgeport.
According to three Norwalk arrest warrants, McDowell, who claimed to be homeless while sending her son to school in Norwalk, sold drugs to officers in Norwalk on three occasions between May 27 and June 3.
She also allegedly told the undercover officer she was living with her aunt on Dover Street, and he was welcome to party at the house and enjoy the services of two women McDowell was pimping out.
At her arraignment Monday at state Superior Court in Norwalk, Judge Bruce Hudock -- who signed the three warrants for her arrest -- kept McDowell's bond at $200,000.

With the high school season now complete, athletes from both Norwalk High and Brien McMahon are being recognized by the FCIAC for solid efforts this spring. Thus far, a total of 20 athletes from the two schools have been given all-conference honors, with more sports to be announced.
In softball, Norwalk shortstop Katie Schmidt was named to the conference’s all-first team, while her teammate, Eleni Petridis, was given all-second team honors. McMahon infielder Sam Bardos was also named to the all-second team.
For the Norwalk boys track team, Adam Robertino was was named all-first team in 110-meter hurdles, while McMahon’s Clement Abonyi received similiar honors in the triple jump. On the girls side, the Senators’ Kim McElveen (discus) and Shellyann Lindo (100 hurdles, 100 meter, 200 meter) were also given all-first team honors. On the all-second team are Norwalk’s Ivy Chen (100 hurdles) and Rottisha Lewis (triple jump), and McMahon’s Brittany Brim (triple jump, long jump).
In boys tennis, McMahon’s top singles player, Thomas Luchars, was named to the all-second team, and the top doubles team, Jacob Moulden and Casey Rawson, were given honorable mention. For the girls, there were honorable mention honors for Norwalk’s Meredith Pramer, and McMahon’s doubles team of Arianna Bailey and Marisa Marotta.
In golf, the Senators’ Chris Falcone was named to the all-FCIAC Central team.
