The Northville Historical Society at Mill Race Village and the Girl Scouts, are hosting the 12th Annual Garage Sale, starting Monday, June 13 through Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. at the home of Carole Jean and Bill Stockhausen, 218 W. Dunlap (corner of High St.), Northville. If you are looking for a unique treasure or need to furnish a college student's room, this is the place to shop. In the past they have sold everything from a ceramics kiln to golf clubs, a sailboat to a backyard pond, baby items and books to a bamboo aquarium, a dollhouse to a dog house, furniture ranging from antique to being perfect for college, from clothing to exercise equipment (to allow you to fit into the clothing you buy), record albums to record players, Christmas trees to other holiday items, and beds to linens (to fit the beds). Also a variety of items like patio furniture, toys, bikes, and dishes are usually available. The family-friendly fest which showcases various Michigan entertainers, businesses, products, and educational opportunities with the goal of revitalizing the local economy is looking for volunteers to assist in various areas of the festival throughout the weekend. Michiganders who are interested in volunteering can fill out the volunteer application form online ( http://www.buymichigannowfest.com/volunteer_form.php ). Selected candidates will be notified by the festival organizers by mid-July. “The Buy Michigan Now Festival is a little different from a lot of other summer events. It's a fest with a cause,” said Diggs. “In addition to providing great food, entertainment, and fun, we are dedicated to helping Michigan businesses grow. It's going to be companies like these, each adding one or two more jobs that brings our economy back on track, and we want to help them do it.”

“We are very happy to introduce a track event to the Concours,” said James McCarter, executive director of the Concours d'Elegance of America. “Driving vintage cars and high performance vehicles on a professional track is an important part of owning them—it's no fun just keeping them in the garage. We are planning for this to become an annual part of the Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's. Each year will feature a different type of racing.” The Michigan Philharmonic (formerly the Plymouth Symphony) is holding the second annual cruise raffle. This year the winning ticket is for a Venetian Cruise for two including round-trip airfare for two on the beautiful Voyager of the Seas on the Royal Caribbean Line from Oct. 15-22. The cruise leaves from Venice and includes Italian and Adriatic ports of call in the Mediterranean and Adriatic. Summer Reading incentive games encourage participants to keep a reading log and earn prizes. Kids can enter a weekly prize drawing to win prizes by completing simple book reports. A variety of special programs and events are offered throughout the summer including interactive science shows for youth and tweens, a Friday night lock-in for teens, and scrapbooking programs for teens and adults.

And boy, was our man, and also his bro, Laxman, pissed... all the gods were with him... So anyways, you don't mess with gods. So, Ram, and his bro get an army of monkeys... Dude, don't ask me how they trained the damn monkeys... just go along with me, ok... So, Ram, Lax and their monkeys whip this gangsta's ass in his own hood.... Anyways, by this time, their time's up in the forest... and anyways... it gets kinda boring, you know... no TV or malls or shit like that. So,they deci ded to hitch a ride back home... and when the people realize that our dude, his bro and the wife are back home... they thought, well, you know, at least they deserve something nice... and they didn't have any bars or clubs in those days... so they couldn't take them out for a drink, so they, like, decided to smoke and shit... and since they also had some lamps, they lit the lamps also...so it was pretty cooool... you know with all those fireworks... . Really, they even had some local band play along with the fireworks... and you know, what, dude, that was the very first, no kidding.., thatwas the very first music-synchronized fireworks... you know, like the 4th of July stuff, but just, more cooler and stuff, you know.
